SUEA, meaning “Tiger” in Thai, stands for power, courage, and resilience and that’s exactly the energy we want you to feel the moment you walk through our doors. We created SUEA to bring something fresh and exciting to downtown Augusta: a modern Thai tapas experience that’s bold, approachable, and made for sharing. Our menu takes the flavors we grew up loving and reimagines them with a contemporary twist something familiar, but elevated in a way that keeps you coming back for more. Whether you’re here for a casual night out or a lively gathering, our goal is simple: great food, great energy, and an experience that feels alive. At SUEA, we don’t just serve dishes we create moments, inspired by the fearless spirit of the tiger.

Our Story - The Heart Behind SUEA

My root from northeastern Thailand and later moved to Bangkok to pursue my MMA studies. My passion for Thai cuisine grew during my career as a telecommunications representative, where I hosted clients with rich and flavorful food. Traveling across Thailand introduced me to the country’s rich and diverse flavors.

While hosting clients from the United States, I met my future husband. After our marriage. He moved to Thailand and fell in love with its vibrant food culture, often wondering why truly authentic Thai flavors were so rare in the U.S. In the end we relocated to the United States, turning that idea into a vision to share the true essence of Thai cuisine through a fresh and thoughtful approach.

With guidance from Tippawan, my sister, a successful Thai restaurant entrepreneur in Washington State, we chose Augusta, Georgia, a place we believe is ready for something new, vibrant, and authentically Thai.

With an MBA background and over a decade of experience in the United States, I began my journey in the restaurant industry in 2016, successfully owning and operating Four Thai restaurants in Washington State. Through years of hands on experience with every element, I developed a deep understanding of both authentic Thai cuisine and the dynamics of the American dining market. Recognizing the growing potential in Augusta, I saw an opportunity not only to expand but to challenge myself creatively bringing a fresh, modern perspective to Thai food while staying rooted in its rich traditions.

Our Executive Chef

Chef Ao Eakkapan Short Bio (IG / Website): Award-winning Thai chef with a passion for blending traditional flavors with modern techniques. Chef Ao has competed in international culinary competitions, earning multiple medals and recognition for his creativity and precision. His cooking reflects a deep respect for Thai heritage, elevated through refined presentation and bold innovation. SUEA-style Bio (slightly more elevated): Chef Ao Eakkapan is an accomplished Thai chef recognized for his award-winning performances on the global culinary stage. With a foundation rooted in authentic Thai cuisine, he brings a modern, refined approach that transforms familiar flavors into memorable dining experiences. His work celebrates both tradition and innovation, aligning perfectly with SUEA’s vision of modern Thai tapas.  

 

 Chef Bell Belle Short Bio (IG / Website): A creative Thai chef bringing warmth and artistry to every dish. Chef Bell combines classic Thai flavors with a contemporary touch, crafting dishes that feel both comforting and exciting. Her passion lies in storytelling through food and creating memorable dining experiences. SUEA-style Bio (slightly more elevated): Chef Bell Belle is a rising culinary talent known for her thoughtful, expressive approach to Thai cuisine. Blending traditional techniques with modern creativity, she designs dishes that are both visually captivating and deeply flavorful. Her vision reflects a new generation of Thai chefs—bold, artistic, and rooted in authenticity.  Optional (if you want a paired team version for SUEA website/menu): Chef Team Bio: At the heart of SUEA are Chef Ao Eakkapan and Chef Bell Belle—two passionate chefs bringing together experience, creativity, and a shared love for Thai cuisine.
